Employee Assistance Programs
The City understands how important mental health is and wants anyone in need to seek immediate help. To assist, employees have access to two different employee assistance programs.
Family Service of Lake County
This organization is located in Highland Park and is ready to assist employees and family members. Sessions are also available via Zoom if folks do not feel comfortable visiting the office in person.
First 15 Sessions
The City will pay 100% of the $100 per hour counseling fee.
Session 16 and Beyond
The employee is responsible for 100% of the standard
fee through either self pay or insurance.
LifeWorks through The Standard
This service has the advantage of having clinicians available 24/7 by phone, online, via live chat, email and text – there is even a mobile app.
You can receive referrals to support groups, a network counselor, community resources or your health plan and up to three face-to-face assessment and counseling sessions are included per issue.
