457(b) Deferred
Compensation Information
In addition to a pension, the City offers full-time employees the option to contribute to a 457(b) pre-tax retirement plan. While this plan is similar to its private-sector cousin, the 401(k), it is not identical to it. Currently, City employees have three different providers to choose from: MissionSquare, Nationwide, and Fidelity Investments.
Please note that the City does not match
contributions for this retirement plan option.
